September is a great month for a short trip to Barcelona! I went with my friend and we had an amazing time! Enjoying all the good parts of the city with all its beauty, our cute hotel above a bakery, the incredible food and a bit of shopping off course!

This is a distinctive hotel, offering something as “homely” as fresh bread to make the guests feel absolutely at home while sampling the delicious baking of Baluard, a traditional bakery owned by Anna Bellsolà.
The hotel
The hotel design and interior decor is the work of Lázaro Rosa-Violán, a prestigious, highly recognized interior designer, signature of some of the most fashionable restaurants, stores, and hotels in the world.
This is the view when you step out of the lift. And the smell is soooooo good. Bread & pastries freshly made in the bakery and good coffee, tea or a juice. What more do you want!
The rooms are small but really well designed. Great isolated windows that leave all noise of the street outside. But when you want some fresh air, you can open the windows all the way and enjoy the view from a french balcony.
All white gives so much peace to a room. Like I have said before, all white does not have to be boring as long as you use different materials and textures. Like the woodwork, but also the tiles they are using on the walls. The black lights and windows give enough contrast but still keeping the room calm en relaxing.
The colour comes back in the shower and toilet design. I love these blue tiles. Believe me the shower was a good one, the rainfall shower head gave a little spa feeling in a tiny space.
I would highly recommend the hotel with relaxed vibes, friendly staff and great interior design. But let’s not forget the location of it! Praktik Bakery is located inside an elegant building in classic Barcelona style, right in the heart of the famous Eixample area, bursting with modernist buildings of rich architectural value. The hotel is just 100m away from Paseo de Gracia and its emblematic buildings, luxury stores, and the famous La Pedrera Gaudi monument.
